I click install and everything is running smoothly as I install all four disks.įinally, after much trial and error with the resolution, I open up the game and the graphics are all screwed up. After setting up the virtual machine I click setup and lo and behold it works! Turns out the autoplay was the set up screen. I run this also in compatibility mode under Windows XP SP2.same thing, same message.įinally I decide to download Windows XP mode. Okay.I restart my computer and open setup again, same thing happens and same message comes up. Please restart your computer and try again.". When the progress bar goes all the way to 100 percent it comes up with the error "Setup is having trouble shutting down the autoplay program. Something finally comes up! The Sims Complete Collection logo screen appears and a progress bar shows up saying it is preparing the InstallWizard. I go to the Set Up folder and click on the setup installation icon. Switched it to compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2. Then I went into the actual disk and clicked the startup icon. I thought it would have been as simple as inserting the disk and the installation screen automatically showing up.

I have windows 7 professional and apparently it is virtually impossible to install and play this game correctly on this OS.
